Founded by Larry Bruce Childers in 1988, AccuScreen is the most cost effective solution to proving the quality of your potential hires.

The company is owned and operated by Bruce Childers, who has been an independent businessman since 1974. With an intensive background in security, investigation, related legal procedures, and management, Childers brings a high degree of experience to his organization.

In 1990, Mr. Childers was appointed the Mayor’s anti-drug task force. The next year, he was appointed to the LA Association of Business and Industry Drug Testing Legislative Task Force. In addition, he is a nationally certified investigator/inspector, and has completed many specialized training seminars in related areas as part of an ongoing continuing educational program.

According to Mr. Childers, AccuScreen is more attuned to the nuances of drug screen collection than physician’s offices or internal departments because their only responsibility is to protect the integrity of the specimen.

Drug testing, explains Childers, is actually a 3 part process period. Collection, testing, and medical review. The collection phase is without a doubt the most important part. When a screen is determined to contain drugs or narcotics, the sample then becomes evidence.

The testing phase is the most difficult to challenge provided the lab utilizes scientifically acceptable testing procedures.

The MRO service as a third tier of protection by reviewing all specimens of the testing process and personally discussing results with the donor. An MRO has authority to classify a positive drug screen as negative for any reason related to collection, testing, or prescribed medication. Having 3 distinct entities involved in the process serves as a safeguard for the applicant/employee.

Mr. Childers emphasizes that the company’s drug testing program is designed to protect both the employee and the employer. Employees are randomly selected and an elaborate system of checks and balances is put into play to ensure the integrity of the sample and accuracy of the results. According to Mr. Childers, use of an independent medical review officer ensures fairness and accuracy from start to finish.

Mr. David Deloach of Delaware Marine Service says, "We’ve shopped around and found AccuScreen Systems to be reliable, cost-effective, and service oriented."

Mr. Childers says that in addition to drug testing, much of AccuScreen’s business comes from employers who want to know whether a prospective employee is suitable for hiring. A pre-employment screen is set up and the prospect is evaluated by a number of tests. AccuScreen provides integrity services, criminal record checks, credit reports, education verification, aptitude testing, reference checks, and civil records to search as part of its complete pre-employment service.

AccuScreen can help ensure a good match between employee and employer than can make a difference in overall productivity and efficiency. Companies often forget assets not only include inventory and equipment, but also personnel. Given the trend in court litigation towards more hiring lawsuits, the future success of any business may depend on its screening program.
